Remember by Christine Rossetti
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

Friday 7th August would have been Mum and Da's golden wedding. Our thoughts are still with you dad and we will still raise a glass. I will be looking after Mum with us in Majorca.

This is the poem chosen by Kay for Ron's funeral
My Lost Love
I have only just lost you; the pain is hard to bear
Do I have to go through life knowing you're not there?
Please someone explain to me why he had to go
Are there any reasons? I really need to know
I sit here and remember all the lovely times we shared
The talks, the laughter, of everyone you cared
I am told the pain will ease, in time
And I will think of him without a tear
But that will be impossible for I need to have him here
He was my very world to me, my ever guiding star
Just kiss me softly on the cheek and tell me where you are.
